Welcome to the brand new Little River Clothing and Outdoors blog! We look forward to sharing information about what we have in store, as well as what makes us different. To start, we wanted to share a little more about our owners, David and Brian, and our Store Manager, Jennifer.
Jennifer McDonald – Little River Clothing Store Manager
1.) What do you love most about having the store in Woodstock? I love having the store in Woodstock because it’s such a fun city…the people of Woodstock are so awesome! It’s very “shop local“ supportive!
2.) Where are your favorite places to shop (aside from the store), eat/drink and visit? I love going to singo at Truck and Tap on Tuesday’s!
3.) How long have you lived in Woodstock/Cherokee County? I’ve lived in Woodstock/ Cherokee county for only a year.
4.) One special thing about you that you’d like for people to know when they’re in the store? one special thing about me is my quote .. “It don’t make no matter to me.” I’m easygoing and most things just really don’t matter…I try my best to enjoy life and not be too serious about anything!
5.) Favorite event in Woodstock? (Concert series, Taste of Woodstock, other local events) The Summer Concert Series is so fun, and and the weekend Farmer’s Market as well.
6.) Favorite things to do outside? I love being on or around the water! Kayaking and paddle boarding is relaxing and fun!
David Potts, Co-Owner
1.) What do you love most about having the store in Woodstock? Woodstock is a fun vibrant town with a supportive community.
2.) Where are your favorite places to shop (aside from the store), eat/drink and visit? We enjoy the local restaurants centered in the downtown business district. We also enjoy downtown and all the activities that are offered (Friday Night Live, Concerts, Festivals).
3.) How long have you lived in Woodstock/Cherokee County? I have lived in Downtown Woodstock since 2005.
4.) One special thing about you that you’d like for people to know when they’re in the store? We offer a personal shopping experience fitted to the different types of buyers.
5.) Favorite event in Woodstock? (Concert series, Taste of Woodstock, other local events) I love TrailFest. (Which is coming up on May 4th!)
6.) Favorite things to do outside? I like paddle boarding on Little River and accessing the mountain bike trails at Olde Rope Mill Park.
Brian Smith, Co-Owner
1.) What do you love most about having the store in Woodstock? I enjoy the Woodstock community visiting and supporting us.
2.) Where are your favorite places to shop (aside from the store), eat/drink and visit? I enjoy the entertainment at Madlife… great food and great music!! I often find myself at truck and tap playing singo!
3.) How long have you lived in Woodstock/Cherokee County? I moved to Woodstock about a year ago. I’ve lived in Cherokee county for 17 years.
4.) One special thing about you that you’d like for people to know when they’re in the store? I’ve been a professional clothier for over 25 years. I love outdoor sports and enjoy going to my kids sporting events.
5.) Favorite event in Woodstock? I enjoy the outdoor summer concerts.
6.) Favorite things to do outside? I’m very excited for warm weather so I can hang out at the lake and paddle board. This summer I plan on taking a paddle board to the beach and try my luck at fishing the shore!
Our store has been open in Downtown Woodstock since January of 2019, and we couldn’t be more pleased with our location and the store visitors we’ve received so far. If you haven’t been in yet, please do come by!
